Our story began in 1971 when our predecessor/father/grandfather, Earl W. James attended polygraph school and later became the Chief Examiner of the Michigan State Police. Earl was also the President of the Licensing Board for the State of Michigan. Since that time, our family has contributed to field of polygraph for three generations. We value integrity, ethics and professional service to all clients. We offer polygraph examinations in a comfortable, confidential and respectful manner making our clients feel safe and secure throughout the entire examination process.
Meet The James
Mark James
MSM
Certified Indiana Polygraph Examiner
Mark is a former US Marine Corps Sergeant veteran. Upon leaving the Marine Corps, Mark completed his BS degree at Madonna University in Criminal Justice. Mark was then selected to attend the 41st recruit school for the Indiana State Police Department.
Upon graduation from recruit school, Mark was assigned to the Lafayette State Police Post as a Trooper. As a Trooper, Mark excelled in criminal investigations and was eventually promoted to a detective. Mark worked in that capacity until he was selected to attend polygraph school.
Mark attended an American Polygraph Association accredited polygraph school which was located in Houston, Texas.
Upon graduation, Mark completed an extensive state police internship and was assigned as a polygraph examiner where he conducted several thousand examinations for city, county, state and federal investigations. As an examiner, Mark solved numerous high profile investigations and numerous homicide cases. He was also a Master Instructor for Indiana State Police instructing in interrogation techniques and non-verbal communication skills.
Mark was then promoted to the chief polygraph examiner and he over saw polygraph operations for over 20 years. As the chief examiner, Mark has trained several municipal, county and state police examiners. Additionally, Mark has testified numerous times as an expert in several courts throughout Indiana. Further, Mark was elected as President of the Indiana Polygraph Association two times and he also served in the capacity as the President of the Mid-West regional polygraph seminar. Also, during this time, Mark graduated with his Master’s in Science Degree in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.
Upon retirement, Mark began his new polygraph business where he conducts polygraph examinations on adults as well as children. Mark is considered to be an excellent examiner with highest credentials and ethical values for over 35 years.
Lori A. James

Certified Indiana Polygraph Examiner
Lori graduated from Indiana University Bloomington in 2008 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies. She began working in the substance abuse field shortly after graduation and obtained her Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor III (Ohio) and Certified Alcohol and Drug Consultant IV (Indiana) certifications in 2010 and 2011. Lori has worked in every level of care (inpatient, outpatient, IOP, MAT) working with individuals suffering from substance use disorders.
In 2012, Lori graduated from the American Polygraph Association’s accredited school, Arizona School of Polygraph Science at the top of her class. She also completed advanced training and obtained certification from the Arizona School to do Post Conviction Sex Offender Testing. Upon graduation, Lori completed an internship with The Polygraph Group and trained under Mark James who is regarded as one of the best examiners in the State of Indiana. Lori has conducted examinations for therapists, parole agents, behavioral health providers, probation departments as well as the private sector.
Lori is a member of the American Polygraph Association, Indiana Polygraph Association, Midwest Regional Network for Intervention with Sex Offenders and Indiana Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors.
Peggy James
MBA, RRT, CPFT
Operations Director
Peggy dedicated her entire professional career in serving others and saving many lives as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
During her career, Peggy was selected to be the Director of Clinical Education for Ivy Tech Community College for the Lafayette Region where she coordinated hospital staff members with students who were completing their clinical rotations.
Peggy was further promoted to the Department Chair for the Respiratory Care Program where she eventually became a full professor. Peggy continued to teach for 30 years and proudly graduated over 400 respiratory therapists who currently serve globally in various hospitals, clinics, home care and physician offices.
As for her education, Peggy earned her Masters’ Degree in Business & Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University in 1994 and she went on to complete all of her course work for Education Administration Doctoral Program in 1999.
Peggy was viewed by her colleagues as very efficient and professional. Due to her communication and organizational skill sets, Peggy was voted President of the National Network of Associate Degree Respiratory Care from 2012 -2014. She also served in the capacity as a member and subcommittee chair with the American Association for Respiratory Care. Further, she served on the board of directors for the Indiana Society for Respiratory Care from 1994 – 1996.
Upon her retirement from teaching, Peggy continued in her role as being the Operations Director for the Polygraph Group.
